Air conditioner aluminum coil is a special material for heat exchanging fins. In early days air conditioner manufacturers applied plain foil, the property of which turned out to be not so satisfying. To improve surface property of plain foil, a layer of inorganic coating was coated to strengthen corrosion resistance and another layer of organic coating was coated to enhance water loving ability. At present water-loving coil takes up only one percent of the whole air conditioner aluminum coil market, but experts predict that the figure will get higher in the future. In contrast to water loving coil, there is a kind of water hating coil which keeps condensed water off its surface. Owing to the fact that relative skills about frost removing still needs development, water-hating coil has little production and market share in practice.
The thickness of air conditioner is usually between 0.1mm and 0.15mm, and is likely to become smaller with technological development. In Japan the leading coil for air conditioner has a thickness of only 0.09mm. The thinner the coil is, the stricter requirement there is for its workability. Its properties must be even. It should be featured with high strength, good ductility and excellent flatness. In recent years the productivity and relative technology have been greatly improved in China. Numerous big, middle and small manufacturers have sprung up. Some large producers have mastered leading advanced technology of the world. With singular production standard and alloy numbers air conditioner aluminum coil can be produced in large scales easily. However, all specialized manufacturers are confronted with a seemingly insurmountable problem--over production in winter yet no demand in summer. The problem, however, can be solved efficiently by export business, because the seasons of the two semi-spheres are opposite and there are actually summers nearly all the year round.
